Victoria "Tori" Chapman Obituary
Her defining moments included overcoming health obstacles to receive her nursing degree, graduating early, and excelling as a Cheer Captain and Gymnast. Tori was a vegan, a great conversationalist with an open mind, and someone who embraced new adventures with zest. She was dedicated to her education and dream of becoming a nurse.
Tori is survived by her brother Nate, her mother Tiffany, her father Neal, her bonus parents Jason and Melissa, her bonus sisters Isabella and Korynn, her aunts Trisha, Jessica, Sheyan, and Celeste, her uncle Toby, numerous cousins, her grandparents Glen and Bonnie, and her pets Holly, Princess, and Prada. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Doretta and Jim.
In her educational journey, Tori attended St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic School in Pacific, Missouri, before graduating from Park Hill South High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She furthered her education at Mizzou and Columbia College.
Tori was looking forward to starting her RN job at Mizzou Hospital in July. In her free time, she enjoyed being a cat-mom, traveling, exploring different cuisines as a foodie, spending time with her brother and friends, and, as her loved ones fondly noted, always being right.
A celebration of Tori's life is planned for her August birthday in Kansas City, with more details to follow. She will be remembered for her muchness, her strength, and the love she shared with all who knew her. #15319

To a fun-loving, super funny, hard working, animal loving 1st granddaughter, Princess Tori.
We so enjoyed our last visit at the coffee shop & especially being at your "pinning ceremony". You looked so happy in your "white nurse coat"---that you worked so hard to achieve.
Princess Tori; Papa's fishing, wave running, swimming gal, whom always said,
"More-Papa-More"!!
Grandma & Tori were always baking up some thing special like--Tori's Oreo Surprise Brownies, or exploding apple/blueberry pies!
You always liked to mix & stir & "Mix Again"--well, other than eating that
1-1/4 pound apple we found!!
We always loved all the gymnastic moves (upside down-Tori) or cheers (up in the air, that's our Tori) !!
And we always tried to "keep our secrets". Tori, you know--"S & S" & golf cart where? The ditch? "NO ONE WOULD BREATHE A WORD"! LOL! & petting Fluffy!
( So happy you became a cat mom, too! )
We will certainly miss your giggles, smiles & joking around...but, will always remember the great memories we had with you.
Your life was way too short & Papa & I will grieve at our loss, but, we know one day we shall see YOU again. We will certainly miss you while we wait.

I am just learning of Tori´s passing. To the family, Tiffany and Nate, I´m saying prayers for you both. Tori was so smart and determined. I enjoyed working with her throughout high school. I am saddened by this news, but find comfort that she is now with God.

The most outgoing and quick witted person I have ever gotten the privilege to know and love. There was never a dull moment with Tori and she always knew how to make the people around her feel loved and supported. Sleepovers, pool dates, and chiefs games! Just a few of the many memories shared with Tori, along with cheering with her in highschool. I´m so blessed to have had Tori as my best friend over the past 3 years. You were always there for me, real about when I needed to do better, always the life of the party. She´s smart, sarcastic, funny, adventurous, caring, and passionate. Her motivation always amazed me. We were girlies together, going to the pool, doing make up, henna tattoos, reading books, spiritual awakenings, going out to eat, walking downtown, drives, sleepovers. she always had the drama on everyone, loved to hear and tell all the tea. My heart is with everyone that knows this beautiful soul and I hope the kitties are okay

I met Tori at Columbia College. We had gone to lunch and hung out at the pool at her apartment. She was very intelligent and was determined to get through the nursing program and onward. We had some deep conversations and was a friend. She even made me a tutorial video to show me how to prepare Tofu. Our last conversation was at her Nursing graduation where I wished her the Best! Her illuminating vibe will be greatly missed.

Tori was the sister I never knew I needed. She was kind, witty, and always determined to reach her goals no matter who stood in her way. She was an amazing human being and was going to be an outstanding nurse. She was adventurous and loved to try new things and visit new places. I was waiting for the day I finally turned 21 so we could go on many more adventures together. My favorite memory of her is when we were in Mexico and it felt like we were closer then ever before, we spent every single day together on that trip and wouldn´t trade it for a second. I miss you everyday and love you forever.

I´m so distraught, I was very lucky to spend 3 loving years with Victoria that were the best in my life. I´ll never forget the look on her face after bringing home her two loving babies Princess and Prada. She was the most beautiful sweetest angel you´ll ever meet. Her smile was so contagious she never stopped joking or laughing, she was very honest but loving as always. Though our paths diverged, we still loved each other very much, the memories we shared remain cherished in my heart. Victoria was a remarkable person who touched many lives with her kindness and warmth. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of knowing Tori for the past three years, she was my second Tori. I was constantly confused on which Tori we were talking about.... she was a part of my family and loved life to the fullest. We talked about food and hair care a lot she had a smile that would brighten any room. Her laughter was infectious. She had the biggest heart and loved her friends family and her kitties with all she had.
She also enjoyed visiting my grandson when she came to Kansas City on the weekends. This is the Fourth of July last summer.

Tori loved being involved with my small contracting business, everything from doing the measurements, putting the bids together, and even showing up to do the work with me. This picture was just after we´d finished a project, she spent 4 hours on a ladder on a 90% humidity day painting a deck, never asked for help and turned out a beautiful paint job. Her determination and dedication was incomparable. She helped me in ways that are unexplainable, I´m so thankful for the time I got to spend with her.
